This months Glossybox is a collaboration and that is where GB shines. They always have fabulous products when they have a beauty expert collaborator. The Dakota Shaw box was so fun! That box had a full size tarte lipstick worth more than the box itself.
This month the box will be full of products curated by the creators of WhoWhatWear and Byrdie.com. Byrdie is an online magazine devoted to “all things beauty” with a celebrity spin. The founders of WhoWhatWear and Byrdie, Hillary Kerr & Katherine Power are both former editors of Elle. This should be a great box!
Our first sneak peak feature tarte mascara worth more than a month-month subscription.
Lights, Camera, Flashes is touted as a statement mascara. It claims to emphasize lashes 752%. That seems a little excessive. I mean lashes aren’t supposed to extend to the middle of your forehead right? The bottle is pretty (I’m a sucker for packaging! hence my benefit addiction) but the brush doesn’t look like my “type” yes I have a brush type (see benefits BadGal lash) this one has two sides one meant to coat, the other meant to lengthen and separate. Well I can’t wait to try it. The other two tarte mascaras, Lights, Camera, Lashes and Lights, Camera, Splashes aren’t my favorite and frankly that’s a bit of a mouthful. If I were to recommend this product I would probably just start calling it “the one in the gold tube” haha.

All of the contents of the October Glossybox were revealed by Byrdie.com. I am pretty excited about this box. The first product is Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve face cream. I had a foil sample of this at some point and I remember I absolutely loved it. I don’t know what size Glossybox will send out but it’s sure to be at least a deluxe sample. I can’t wait to try it out again.

Also included is Bulgari’s Eau Parfumée Au Thé Vert. I am not familiar with this scent at all. Hopefully I like it but I’m pretty picky about scents so I’m not hopeful. I’m not sure what size but I am pretty sure it will be a standard perfume sample size.

According to the gang over at byrdie there will be a customized shade of Balance Me “shine On!” tinted lip balm. This is a UK brand. I have a love of British products (Soap&Glory ’nuff said) Looking forward to this one! All natural, paraben free in other words no yucky stuff.
Also this month is Sesha’s Exfoliating Gel or Anti-Wrinkle mask. 1.7 oz is $42…..must be good stuff 😉 The mask is $9. I have a feeling this may be a foil packet.
